Speakers’ Corner stages illustrated evening talks for you to enjoy at here at Ravensthorpe Village Hall. We host high quality, entertaining speakers on a wide range of diverse subjects: Art & Culture, History & Industry, and Current Affairs & Technology. You can expect a sociable evening at Speakers’ Corner, which will begin with a friendly welcome and a complimentary tea, coffee or a soft drink. A well-chosen selection of wines and beers are available at the bar.

THE GHOSTS OF RORKE'S DRIFT by Charles Aikenhead

An illustrated account of the defence of Rorkes’s Drift by five Riflemen of the British Army. The encounter resulted in the award of twelve Victorian Crosses.


Mackintosh is best known for his iconic award-winning design for the Glasgow School of Arts. The property at 78 Derngate is the only commission that Mackintosh had in England.


Located at Pattishall near Towcester between the years 1914 to 1920, the camp held over 4,500 German and Austrian prisoners.


The rise, fall and rebirth of the famous Northampton Phipps Brewery. The story begins with its founding characters in 1801 through to the launch of Phipps legendary IPA 2014.

Advance booking and payment to reserve places is politely requested. Tickets £5 in advance, £6 on the evening and £3.50 for students.
