I am a fully qualified Body Control Pilates Matwork teacher. My class is on Monday mornings 9.30-10.30am. It is a mixed ability class and everyone is welcome regardless of age, sex and ability. I teach exercises from basic beginner to more advanced work but exercises can be regressed or progressed as necessary. We use some equipment which is provided such as toning rings, bands and balls for added variation and challenge to stability and strength. You can also bring along your own light hand weights to add more work to some exercises.
I have been practicing Pilates for 20 years+ and cannot stress enough how Pilates is an excellent form of exercise. Any exercise helps but Pilates will improve strength, help build and maintain bone health, improve poor posture, flexibility, aid good mental health and relaxation. With continuity you will become more body aware and improve good functional movement patterns and all right here in the village so no traveling to a gym is necessary.
